As a part of #MalariaPreventionMonth #Malaria advocacy program was held today in the Gautam maharshi seminar hall in collaboration with Taluk hospital, Ron. The program was inaugurated by Dr. S. B. Lakkol Senior Physician, Ron. Dr. I. B. Kotturshetti, Principal and CMO RGESAMC Ron presided over the function. Resource person Dr. H. L. Girraddi Anasthetist and Cordinator NVBDCP Ron explained about the clinical features and diagnostic aspects of Malaria. Another resource person Dr. Annapurna Shettar Entemologist briefed about the spread of the disease and different types of mosquitos causing it. Dr. B. S. Bajantri Taluk health officer, Ron, Dr. L. D. Bakale and Dr. Madhu Radder were among the other dignitaries on the stage. Medical practitioners in and around Ron participated in the workshop and pledged to follow the instructions accordingly. Following the workshop an exhibition inclusive of models, equipments and slide mounts related to Malaria was held for the awareness of the general public.
